Did you know that between 5 and 10 THOUSAND new people sign up for Twitter every day? That’s a lot of “twustomers.” (Twitter users + customers = twustomers. I made that up.)
But if you’re not on it right now, you’re seriously missing out on thousands of potential customers. And even more than that, relationships. Twitter might seem impersonal, but believe it or not, forming relationships with people on Twitter, engaging them in conversation, facts and resources boosts your trustworthiness, their loyalty, and then where it counts, your business.
Top Reasons Business Owners Shy Away From Twitter
- Too time consuming
- Don’t know where to start
- Don’t understand it
These are the reasons my contacts have given me for not tapping into Twitter yet. I don’t blame them. When I began, it was quite overwhelming and I didn’t have my own business, all I knew was that there was something called “Tweeting” going on.
I didn’t know its power.
Until I began a journey on weight-loss and began to develop a following of friends who eventually became a support network, and who also became faithful readers of my blog, which eventually grew my blog into a money-making business.
If Twitter can do that “by accident,” imagine what you can do “on purpose.”
